Warm Tangled Morning

Warm Tangled Morning

A Poem by Silent Insomniac
"

I wish it was right now forever...

"
I wish it was right now always
the way your eyes feel about me in this breath
sunlight divided on your cheek
the faint chatter of the world
and warm summer air
in between before and next
your posture and the smooth shapes in the cotton
our frayed eyelashes
zoomed thoughtless focus
no toes, no feet, no legs
no bills, no work, no chores
no guilt, no anxiety and no regrets
no me, no you
only this moment in the middle
they'll unravel us
but not while last nights kisses are still fresh
and your sweet perfume sedates me
or while your scent lives in my pillow
and the black of our eyes are fused by invisible tubes
the way gravity stripes your face with a mask of auburn hair
how your peace is the definition of mine
how all of my faults have brought you to me
I've never been this close to anything
I am not afraid
this moment is not for sale
but if it was I'd steal to pay for every copy
to watch your lips whisper my name
to be this and leave that to disappear
completely
