Blinded by the Sun

Blinded by the Sun

A Poem by The Silent Butterfly
"

So I'm not sure if this completely finalized.. Help me out?

"

When I was little

                and even now

I’ve always been told

“Don’t look directly into the sun”

“You’ll go blind,” they always say

And in retrospect

                I wish I’d listened

Because their words, unfortunately

                have held themselves true

For I each time I look at my sun

                my vision gets a little

more

fuzzy

But sometimes it’s just too hard to resist

Sometimes I just have to

                sneak a little peak

Even if it’s just for a short little while

Sometimes I’m not even aware of it

                but I’ll catch myself staring

                at his beauty burning bright

Soon I can’t see anything else

in my efforts to block him out

Everyone else can see the hell

I’m putting myself through

Including me

But it’s helpless

I’m helpless

The Silent Butterfly
So like I said, this might not be completely finalized so yeah, anything you have to say would mean a lot. Thanks so much :)

The message within the message brings itself out nicely. Here and there glimpses of deep thought shine out, ' his beauty burning bright'.
Hope others will read and appreciate this.
