The Silent ButterflyA Poem by The Silent ButterflyIt might be a bit of a downer... Just a heads up.She’s a
butterfly Always flying
from one flower to the next Playful and
giggly Heart on her
sleeve Yet her cheerfulness is only a façade part of
her charade Her smile and eyes are strangers Her heart is scarred and
she, scared. Drunk with her own thoughts she’s going insane As she starts becoming numb from her pain too
much to handle Nobody hears her cries at night Nobody sees the fear in her eyes The silent girl The silent butterfly © 2012 The Silent Butterfly |
