Winter Deadland

Winter Deadland

A Poem by Panda
"

a different perspective on my previous poem Darkness

"
Staring at the girl in the darkness
I find her beauty defiant
A burning ember in a world so cold
A happiness that is self reliant

This winter dead land
Is the hell I call home
A blurry fog of white that never ends
And I'm lost here alone

Will she ever invite me in
Let me feel the warmth of her touch
How is it possible to feel something like this
How can one love something so much

Yet her steady eyes say go away
And the pain feels like its too much to take
Why does she turn away
Why is my frozen body starting to break

I'm being blown away by the wind
And I'm helpless to try and fight
Allowing my reminats to float acroos the sky
I bid her my final goodbye
