The Wolf And The RabbitA Poem by Pandahmm more of a story then a poem but tell me what yah think!! <3Red
riding never understood How cold
it felt standing alone Howling
at the moon While the
wind froze you to the bone But I
felt the winter’s essence Hiding in
the soft summer breeze Running
by the sea Watching
passing memories Tiptoeing
at the edge of a cliff Wondering
if I would earn my wings and fly Or would I
fall farther into my own empty heart Until I
heard your souls lonely cry It
sounded so beautiful And it
circled around me And the
whisper in my body Wanted to
be set free I followed
the resounding song And got
lost in the forest as day became night I soon
became terrified Until you
came into sight Hesitantly
taking your hand Your
warmth made my heart come to rest You led
the way home and I invited you in But you
refused saying you'd be an unwelcomed guest Sadly I
asked If I’d
ever see you again You
smiled so sweetly still holding my hand And said "All
you have to say is where and when." Whispering
into your ears I told
you where to come You
smiled and ran away And to
you I had succumbed Many
nights passed And I
fell deeper in love each time But when
mother and father found out They
treated it like it was a crime They
forbade me to see you Still my
emotions remained unswayed What we
had was so much more powerful then their words And it
was something one could not evade One night
I found you at my window Mother
and father were asleep in bed I quietly
let you in and embraced your cold frame Even with
the melting snow still on your head You asked
me to run away with you And I
instantly agreed Mother
and father would have to accept it We were
not something anyone could intercede One more
kiss And we
parted ways for one last night For we
were to be together forever When the
moon once again showed her brilliant light The night
came And you
put my hand in yours And
promised that you the wolf and I the rabbit Would be
together forevermore © 2011 Panda |
