Two Birds

Two Birds

A Poem by Panda
"

enjoy?

"

You say "I love you" With a sincere smile on your face

To an empty shell that knows how to sway your choice

You're playing a dangerous love game

With a lying demon who has an angelic voice

But doesn't that make you want to play even more

So together we stay

Two birds surrounded by snakes we set free

"Just one more time" We both say

Knowing its always going to stay this way

I'm cradled in the hands that won't let go

But yet they have nothing onto which they can hold on to

A bird cage with an open door

And I stay because I have nowhere to go

And the same goes for you

So together we stay

Two birds surrounded by snakes we set free

"Just one more time" We both say

Knowing its always going to stay this way

And still we play this game that doesn't seem to end

Always end up where we first started at

But for now I'll say it's okay

Because we're two people who're never satisfied

So together we stay

Two birds surrounded by snakes we set free

"Just one more time" We both say

Knowing its always going to stay this way
