Just a little longer

Until it’s time I say goodnight

Though I’d much rather stay with you

Until the morning light

Just a little longer

And then I’ll go to bed

I’ll fall asleep with a smile

Remembering all the sweet things you said

Just a little longer

Until I go and get some rest

I’m really going to need it

Because tomorrow I have a test

Just a little longer

And then I’ll go to sleep

Only a few more hours

Before my alarm clocks begins to beep

Just a little longer

And I promise I’ll close my eyes

I’m getting pretty sleepy now

And the sun is beginning to rise…
