she recently found that her friend that she loves just tried doing suicide...and she has no clue if shes okay...all she knows is that her friend is in the hospital....

Even though it hurts right now
And it feels like a part of you has died

It's apparent that this is coming from a place that is very meaningful to you. It's quite beautiful. I would just say that punctuation can be utilized to great effect to add expressivity, and I think it would have added a lot to the poem. But overall, great work.
