I Should've Known

well this is a tad bit different then how i usually go on writing poems but please tell me what you think :)

I should've known

That my days of happiness were quick to end

The stars don't seem to shine as bright

As they did back then

There are many times

I wish I could go back again

To that beautiful summer night

When you were more then just a friend

You were my love

 

I should've known

We weren't meant to be

There are too many differences

Between you and me

I covered my eyes

From what I refused to see

But now its time

That I set you free

Go on

 

I should've known

That clouds would cover our sunset sky

That everything would fall apart

Between you and I

That all things born

Will eventually have to die

That when you say hello

Someday you also need to say goodbye

So goodbye
