Love is an Ocean

Love is an Ocean

A Poem by Panda

Somebody help me, the tide is too strong
He's pulling me in, trying to drag me along
But I'm scared
Baby I'm terrified
This ocean is vast
My strength isn't going to last
Promise me you'll never let go

You're reassurances are my addiction
And the line is blurred between fact and fiction
But I don't want to give in
Baby I refuse
It's cold if I don't have you near
There's too many things to fear
I don't want to be hurt again

Your kindness is the only thing keeping me afloat
You came along when I lost all hope
But I haven't breathed since then
Not since him
You're too good for me
We were never meant to be
But we're still here

I remember drowning when his hand left mine
In silence forever, I lost track of time
But I made it back to shore
Somehow I survived
I don't want to go back in
To be poisoned by this sweeter sin
Please forgive me

Somebody help me, the tide is too strong
But I've been waiting for far too long
To find someone like you
A love like yours
This ocean is vast
But I've found you at last
Promise me you'll never let go
