Guilty Until Proven Innocent

Guilty Until Proven Innocent

A Poem by Panda

I've learned from my past

Not to trust a guy like you

It’s hard to have faith

After everything you put me through

It’s true I’m giving you another chance

But that doesn’t mean you’ve earned the right

Sure I may not give a damn when I’m with you

But the doubts always come when I’m alone at night

Are you honest when you say what you say?

Or is it just a way to get what you want

Because I know I want to please you

And I also know how you like to taunt

I guess I don’t remember how to give away my heart

But I apologize if I ever act cold

I’d never want to hurt you

With all these feelings I keep controlled

Because of my trust issues

The ending is imminent

Because I believe

That you’re guilty until proven innocent
