Greed and Trust

Greed and Trust

A Poem by Panda

Maybe I’m greedier than you think

Maybe I want you to love only me

Perhaps this is a side of me you’ve never seen

A darker shade you thought I could never be

Maybe I don’t like competition

But I love a game of chase

Perhaps I hate the thought of losing

Humility is not exactly something I like to face

Maybe I adore being wanted

Collecting as many hearts as I can

But I don’t like being the one strung along

I don’t usually commit to any man

Maybe I’m hopeless when it comes to love

But loyalty is a trait I stand strong by

Perhaps you don’t know that yet

But you’ll find out soon enough I don’t like to lie

Maybe sin is what I live for

I’ve done things I will always regret

Perhaps I’m not as innocent as I may look

Do you still not trust me yet?

The title and the end made me smile!

Are we not all greedy and weary of trust at the first instant?

Putting your true emotions in words is a difficult task and this is why I love to read and write poetry.

Specially like your poem as it comes from the heart.
