Make The Choice

Make The Choice

A Poem by Panda
"

ditto

"

I keep drawing away

From the hand you’re offering me

You’re asking me to trust again

But a future with you looks like how our past used to be

Someone is going to get hurt

So this time my heart isn’t on the line

I’ve learned to hold my ground

I don’t deserve to call you mine

It’s not that I don’t like you

I just can’t believe that this’ll work

Relationships with me never last

And I don’t want to see you hurt

Soon I need to decide

Whether it’s worth what will soon become pain

You want a reason why I can’t just say yes

But these thoughts are hard to explain

You have a girl who cherishes you

And honestly I’m impressed

I can see it with my own eyes

She’s not like all the rest

So why do you keep coming to me

After what we’ve already been through

I didn’t want to be the one who made the choice

But this time it looks like I’ll be the one saying goodbye to you
