No need

No need

A Poem by Orlando Murcia

The carnal blade that pierced me

was of your blowing hand

that caressed with fragment hurt

Your lips no longer played an instrument

rather they became jagged stones

to sharpen swords

Your face became a useless masterpiece

Where once was priceless

has now become of shrunken value

Your beauty died like withered flowers

you begged for water now drink from fire

Your beauty used to be a smile

Now your beauty

dwells in tears

'rather they became jagged stones
to sharpen swords'

An ugly, brutal and almost humorous description - I like. Some great ideas and expressions going on here, I like how it's casual and personal, it seems written for you rather than anyone else, and that's, in this piece at least, what I most like about it.

Oooo, ouch. You have a way with simplicity and melodic. You're my kinda poet. Love it.
