Fond of youA Poem by Orlando MurciaI watched the sunset through your field of grains
as they swayed like wheat
You sparkled more than the diamond earrings
that you wore underneath the silent tree's
The breeze was perfect like your being
your skin was the footsteps left by the captivating sun
As the moth grew fond of the grass
I began to grow fond of you We sat and waited for the night under the mistletoe
of the only star above us shining bright
I wanted to take your hand
and gently place it under mine
Make love to your aroma
then whisper rose pedals inside your mind
Get lost inside your eyes
from your gaze of colored space
Dance the night away with you
between the light's in twilights trace
Let you rest inside my sleep
as I hold you in my arms
While I cradle you away
under moonlit covered charms
