LighthousesA Poem by Conversations KillImagintative writing, free verse. It's not meant to be read fast.In this whole, in this void My western hemisphere collapses at the sound of the truth As an explorer, I knew what the lands on the other side composed of. But yet looked at the lighthouses in search of surrealism. Tonight on my voyage I watched the sunset yet again. The beauty of which it darkens Knowing this happens everyday, No one body saves another. We just watch it. Some are lovers and watch in romance Others watch in despair longing for contentment Warming themselves in hopes that they are worth something to someone
So I sent out an sos and was shipwrecked while crashing on coral. It beholds life which I can not have and has destroyed me, punishing me for my sins in the circle of heartbreak. I yearn for the agility to fly to regions where only liberated souls can photograph [or me] Instead I am forced to swim in this ocean, captain -less with no guidance but the stars above which I don't believe in. And the towers that once told me bed time stories only whisper what I've heard one too many times. I, here with no median Some shores resonate with too much life, too much love Some: with not enough.
I can only let the sun revolve endless times until an undiscovered shore can bring me at ease. © 2009 Conversations KillAuthor's Note
