Suicide Note

An extremely short poem about suicide

Today 

I made a necklace out of rope 

that didn't quite fit me 

until my feet 

were off the ground

Author's Note

This isn't my suicide note or anyone else's. It's simply something I came up with, so don't worry.

When I first read this poem, I was thinking, "I have been here many a time before and I know only strange words to describe the empty emotions that go into such a feeling", but your short and sweet poem hits home!! Forgive me, for I know that you mention that this is not a poem to have intentions past the realm of being a poem, but it's smart and the song I have playing in the background as I read it "Nox Arcana- Night of the Wolf" certainly gives life to this... death!! ...oh, and killer profile pic. The kind words were easy to come by. : ) When I used to have all my poetry on this site, I would make mention that I would never have to write a suicide note because my poems do it for me. Having your permission to copy/paste this poem onto my blog, and even link to it, may I put your poem onto a picture?! I had in my head something of a night sky or something. YOU picking the pic would make this comment on your poem not as awkward feeling. lol You can send me the link in my message thing that links to it on the Internet or post it in the actual letter. Since last September "almost one full year" I have gotten almost 1 million views on my page, so SOMEONE will see it!! This site gets pretty quiet at times. I only come here for 1 or 2 writers and I'm glad I caught yours while bouncing around a bit. : ) xoxo

Dear Shay,
First off I would like to say thanks for the friend request, I really appreciate it. Secondly wow this poem has a strong message, even the fewest words can hit the heart. Nobody should ever feel that ending their own life is the correct answer because let me tell you it's not. They feel like at the time, the solution considering suicide will fix anything and everything. It's not the right thing to think or do.
