Tasting CopperA Poem by siennaMy take on desire in the world, enjoy. ;)
A lonely touch is one of all skin,
Like a laced ribbon wrapped in sin. A glow embedded in the beauty of light, Eyes swimming with fire brightning the night. It leeches as hunger for a soul to stain, While you clench your emptiness in spite of all distain. It swallows like the throat cluched beneath sunk teeth, Each trickle that followed of their crimson lied deep. You long for the treasure in bodily formality, Forgetting forsaken pleasure sips of those drunken happily. What's left of this world is to crumble and be fickle, Leaving us with bitter lashings of scraps to lick full. Scraping along the tongue feeding you of the fibs, Your body is the wild where your heart flutters in a patter beyond caged ribs. Your mind swept in normality in the presence of false sweetness, So instead you lick yourself from the fingers dipped in your minds worst weakness. To answer how we find the savior for each desire, We choose to be lost in the abyss of our own false attire. Consuming us till we become cracked and hollow, Allowing our dark demons to be greeted and followed. Venous fruit feasted on like nector in order to be numb, Hoping we flee and find refuge from all we let ourselves be succumbed. Stringing along the minds to make believe all our power is gone, When all was needed to look within and see it was there all along. How do we be as a knight sweeping us away from the life we all accepted? It is to travel back down the crooked path that led our souls to be once intercepted.
