The Dark Hours

Lost are the days,

full of love and peace.

Returned are the days,

of disgrace and hate and grief.

I know the sufferings,

I know the pain,

The Dark Hours,

Of confusion,

Of destruction,

of the humane minds.

Grieving are the minds,

for those left alone.

The dark hours.....

Its the deeper groan,

Its the sign..

Of death.

Of sacrifice.

A deeper moan,

for alibi...

Of their dying lives.

I know the sufferings,

I know the pain,

The Dark Hours,

Of confusion,

Of destruction,

of the humane minds.

Now is the wait,

for a real fighter,

And not another martyr.

Will he born?

Has he been born?

Or is he dead?

The minds once humane,

are poised to slaughter.

The mind has lost its power,

For what is wisdom,

For what is freedom.

Killed....

by death.

Denied....

by faith.

And now they call it fate.

The Dark Hours.....

Of confusion,

Of destruction,

Of the humane minds.

A nice one..has a song like feel to it, and does justice to the topic. I like how you repeat a particular stanza.

Just a thing I noticed- in stanza 5, is it supposed to be ' Will he born?' I got a bit stuck there...maybe ' Will he be born?'...

Oh how I understand the frustration and more than obvious hurt and anger in your words.. so many of us feel like that perhaps because hope is being squeezed out of us. However, i think we all need to arm ourselves with need, need to live on, need to make even the smallest changes, need to speak out .. not to be buried alive .. that could be the easiest but not the most courageous way to be.
I want to say more, want to slightly alter the above but can't do so, there's a fault that disallowing me deletion. Sorry. Great piece of writing. Dark, powerful

True enough on many avenues that you have expressed - I can truly relate to this, empathize as we have all been through rough times though I hope often that there are beautiful moments like the bonfire I am about to sit about...just a moment in time but a beautiful one nonetheless...just a moment...
