A Poem by siddarth

So many times I want to pick up the phone,
And dial your number,
But reality denies me the chance,
Each day I wait in anticipation,
Hoping the joys we had together,
Will result in you finding it hard to endure my absence.

Days go by with my dreams fading,
And my wishing dissolving into the air I breath,
Feelings on emptiness occupy my exhausted mind,
My heart drowning in its own blood,
As it sinks, my soul calls out for hope,
Praying that faith is still hanging on,
In the depth of my sorrow.

Have you forgotten the love I give,
Or has yours died with time,
How should I plead for your return,
For my strength I have lost,
How long should I miss you,
Before you realize that you miss me too.
