Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem

A Poem by Siddhartha

Seize the day man, while you can
For life rarely offers second chances
And this moment now shall never be evermore
Neither will these fortuitous occurrences

Seize the day, while the lady still smiles
For smiles are ephemeral as is affection
And every moment lost, is a chance foregone
And it's no use crying once the moment's gone

Seize the day, while fate's still kind
For destiny is an irrevocable path
What's lost may never come back
And it's futile repenting in the aftermath

Seize the day, while the Sun still shines
For it won't shine all the time
Neither will the stars align everyday
Nor will the moment shall always be sublime

Seize the day man, seize the day
This day is yours, as is this moment
And these may never occur together again

Carpe Diem...

You challenge and stir us to act... to move mountains while we can... for true, the times will come when our strength and courage fail us. What a powerful, haunting call to look deep within and then make the leap of faith into the moment.
