The halcyon skies wear a bridal red The azure waves dive like falling dominoes The fertile air sighs coyly beneath my ears As I stand enthralled on this amber shore
The titian sands entice like a bridal bed The sleepy Sun sends cerise sparks of longing Jonathan Livingston whispers in my ear While reckless winds hug me like a lover
Fleeting autumnal leaves kiss my lips Spreading yellow stains across my cheeks I splay arms like a gliding seagull My soul takes wings and soars high
This fascinates me because I have always been engrossed by the possibility that humans might one day be able to fly. My boyfriend is employed by Airbus so you can imagine the amount of time we spend dreaming about flight. Strangely, I was just thinking about Johnathan Livingstone today, his magical flips and turns.
What a beautiful and bright seascape you paint with your words. I especialy love your use of colour, 'halcyon skies wear a bridal red'; 'azure waves'; 'amber shore'; "yellow stains". I also love the refrains and the repetitions because they do capture theimage of aeronautic aerocrabatics. This is a fascinating poem, employing vivid imagery such as "waves dive like falling dominoes" to show the power and sychonising of waves> The oem engages al the sense and is simply wonderful>
