A Pair Of Blue Eyes

A Pair Of Blue Eyes

A Poem by Siddhartha

A pair of blue eyes
Encompass the world within
As their sight alights on my eyes
A kaleidoscope enthralls my senses
Memories of previous lifetimes
Come swirling back again
Is this only a fleeting moment?
Or a part of the game
That reunites old souls
To their anchors in the seas

Faraway the wind blows stronger

The butterfly seems more radiant
The rainbow is but a bridge
That ties two beating hearts together
And the spring blows sweet melodies
That draw me to her
And I let go of myself
For it is no use fighting
When the universe has a plan for you

memories spent with someone whom you love the most...remain unforgettable and alive all eternity...how lucky is the person who is loved beyond anything and everything by you...moreover its so damn hard to accept the fact that she has a fate not matching yours!!!
beautiful words!!!

Accept it. Acknowledge it. Swirl in it. After all everything conspired for it to happen, whether it is reconnecting of old souls or discovery of new ones, it is the song of beating hearts to which you bow down. A wonderful poem, that's all I will say..

Love the Universal nature of this write and how we can span lifetimes and sometimes if we are lucky find a kindred spirit with whom we feel that closeness. Beautifully written.

Ahhhhh...those damn eyes will do it every time, catch a man and bring to the top everything good and chivalrous, heightened senses of the world around you, suddenly everything makes sense. Loved this...great job.

You create a sense of floating.. as leaves in the wind.. the universe directing and pulling.. pushing.. and the leaves dance. Here, in the music of your words, there is that letting go and drifting dance of life.

there is a mythical tale your most eloquent and softly stirring beauty of a poem reminds me of~ it was postulated inside this particular myth that in the beginning a godling split a hominid in twain~ thus dividing the whole into two parts~ there were many travails and tribulations and adventures throughout the story but each half endlessly searched for its polar opposite to rebalance a world which was as divided as the original being of the species~ out of the myth many stories of soul mates and dualitites have sprung~ your poem is just one gorgeous example of the eternal quest to find unity not just within oneself but to pair somehow back to the our origins with the universe~
