Moving On...

Moving On...

A Poem by Siddhartha
"

An ode to the past as well as looking forward to the future...

"
It's been a while
A tear & a smile
Of damsels in distress
And charms of a temptress

The silence that echoes
Brings neither pleasure nor pain
The ashes of memories
Scattered in the flames

The flowers on the bed
An admirer's gift?
Or are they
Your funeral wreaths?

The heart gives a flutter
It knows not to die
The soul leaps in defiance
Screaming, death is a lie

Raindrops sparkle in the Sun
Proclaiming the rainbow's turn
But as the learned would say
Even this is an illusion

Reality is a dream
All loves are flings
To cling onto the present
Is the greatest of sins

The winds that bellow
Point to farther lands
And the birds fly away
Uncaged and untamed

It is real truth that one can't stick to the fond memories whether good or bad.. life must move on a positive direction.

Dreamy soft, and poignant. This flows like silk and gentle sadness.
A lovely piece of poetry.

.
. but of course this is a beautifully written poem and flows incredibly well too ... your gift with words is more than apparent ... personally, however, i believe in two things ... one : those who forget history are condemned to repeat it ... and two : we must be able to zoom into the present ... and do what we can to craft at least some part of our future ... constitutionally, i'm a drifter and oscillate between the past and the future ... but through sheer experience, i've realized that ... that's pretty disastrous ... i think, as in all things in life, a balance is needed ... but the view needs to be from the present ... as i tend to be task-oriented and proactive ... just my thoughts after reading this beautiful poem ...
