Moving On...A Poem by SiddharthaAn ode to the past as well as looking forward to the future...It's been a while
A tear & a smile Of damsels in distress And charms of a temptress The silence that echoes Brings neither pleasure nor pain The ashes of memories Scattered in the flames The flowers on the bed An admirer's gift? Or are they Your funeral wreaths? The heart gives a flutter It knows not to die The soul leaps in defiance Screaming, death is a lie Raindrops sparkle in the Sun Proclaiming the rainbow's turn But as the learned would say Even this is an illusion Reality is a dream All loves are flings To cling onto the present Is the greatest of sins The winds that bellow Point to farther lands And the birds fly away Uncaged and untamed © 2011 SiddharthaReviews
