A Midnight Love StoryA Poem by SiddharthaShimmering rains, Orbs
of light dancing in sight I
wait for you, drenched
in this moonlight Your
hair flickers, Lighted
by love’s sleight; Now
when you are close to me - My
lips quiver, But
my heart’s burning bright
Paper
boats of day, Sleeping
with quenched thirsts For
rains have come To
requite the Summer’s lusts The
Peacock sings, Sings
a song of Love The
season has sailed, And
drenched are the season’s dusts
You,
a child of the night Your
eyes as radiant As
first rains of moonlight Your
hair springs a million poems Each
strand a stanza unspoken Each
period a pause unsaid Thus
as a token Of
all that remains Allured
by you, and kissed by the rain I
pull you closer, And kiss you again © 2017 Siddhartha |
