Reminiscence of Forgotten Things

Reminiscence of Forgotten Things

A Poem by Siddhartha

In starry seas and starlit skies

Where drunk in Night the Moon lies

I remember distinctly waiting, silent

For the kisses of your breaths, in sighs

Letting not go of hope, nor of love

But the anxiety of not seeing my beloved

Now such times are gone, heart is a stone

Flesh gone, past bleaching as bones

The soul a meanderer, scavenging alone

Time a murderer, drowning all to oblivion

Only if this were true, which now is a suspicion

That some things remain, shielded by passion

But who can ever say, who has ever known

So guarded be my opinion, in its assertion

But, but, but and I shall say but forever

In whichever things, whence and where I stayed

Those moments stretch infinite, and ever more

In those things, seas roared, winds swayed

The present screaming, leaving time frayed...

Who can say what tomorrow comes; what it becomes

Be that as it may, I hope that time be strayed

And lives run a loop, of all that was before
