Odds & Ends

Odds & Ends

A Poem by Siddhartha

To love with all your heart
To open yourself to hurt
And then if you bleed
To make a fresh new start

To aim for the stars
To give it all you have got
And then if you fall
To start again from naught

To share your happiness
To take in others’ pain
To be there when needed
To let go when it ends

To be a light unto others
Even if the flames burn you
To do all that is right
To say all that is true

To not get high on triumph
To not get down by failure
To take uncharted paths
To let courage stem your fear

To cherish every waking moment
To let not the past cloud your future
To breathe in every living second
For this is life in all its splendor
