From Ashes to Ashes

From Ashes to Ashes

A Poem by Siddhartha

There are things left unsaid

As secrets bleed blood red

And when left to silence

They don't for a moment rest

But letting them out

Will cut the stitches of time

And the waves of pain echoing

Will drench the heart blind

But would it matter

Now that the past is shuttered

And when the present seems lost

In what the silence fettered

And for what loft aim

Shall our cruel fates count

When our lives are cut in time

But our lifetimes are bound
