second chances

second chances

A Poem by Siddhartha

I deal in words, I deal in rhyme
I deal in moments lost in time
I wish I could deal in my fate
And start again to make you mine

The waves would then crash
Against the shore of your heart
The seas would then roar
And wash away my hurt

I would then etch words
Against the light of your eyes
Then hold them against the world
As they light up the night skies

And the skies would open up
In drizzles of December rain
The past would burn in flames
As we rebirth our lives again
