The Artist

The Artist

A Poem by Siddhartha

The lonely road of uncharted thoughts

Is a hard companion, a terrible beauty

It cares not for your fears or sorrows

As the threads of society close in time

The mist laden paths branching endlessly

Radiate a kaleidoscope of luminous musings

From the depths of their untrodden world

Awaiting the curiosity of the lone journeyman

Leaving the comfort of the maddening crowd

A fickle place of idle banter, and hearty laughs

The solitary traveler travels an unseen world

In the fervent hope of creating an original art

The pain of creation and the joy at redemption

Are rewards enough for this solitary toil

And the birth of a thought is a treasured start

A sweet blessing that perpetuates his craft

Edgar Lee Masters tell us about the old soldier

if he could describe it, he would be an artist
but if he were an artist, there would be deeper wounds
which he could not describe

blessing and curse that we are to ourselves, we describe the pain, and yet, can't describe it all

Yes, we artist are truly fated given the ability not to Look, but FEEL! Yet requiring some solitude to express and channel. Devising ways to refill and pour out like a Japanese water beaker basking in the eternal water springs of the source. Namaste My Friend and Kudos.

Thank you Robin :)
Something really nice in there... May be a touch overloaded with adjectives, though. They start to numb out after a while. Sometimes just stating the thing is more powerful.
