Love, Exposure

Love, Exposure

A Poem by Siddhartha

If you could read my mind
You’d end up being traumatized
For in the recesses of my being
Is a double-edged sword that bites
Both the wielder and the prey
In equal measures of furious agony

If you could feel my soul
You would be annihilated
By the fire of my cathartic spells
By sunbeams shooting from my eyes
Leaving your self cauterized
By the hatred that drives my mind

But the person that you are
Living your hate in my life
Will just shutter my heart and soul
For of such things are memories made
Of joys making our lives magical
Of sadness shuttering our hearts blind
