In Time

In Time

A Poem by Siddhartha

My untamed spirit shall always be free

Soul tempered by the wanderlust in me

As I walk upon never traversed paths

Each valiant step led by resolute faith

Past is a bird flying on vanishing wings

Ethereal in grace yet ephemeral in mind

The innocence of its beauty slowly dimmed

By the cruel onslaught of ever onward time

Present is a box full of glorious prospects

Young promises withering to old memories

Unless attended by he who lives the moment

Savoring the essence of every passing second

And this road desolate in its wilderness

Rewards the traveler who keeps moving on

Finding each obstacle an opportunity disguised

Seizing every moment as fleeting time flies
