Loneliness

Alone, dreary

This life, weary

Quivering lips

Saying untold stories

Of your absence

For the cultivated

Signs of pretense

Can never hide

The painful present

 

The Sun and Moon

Breeze and Rain

Bring memories

Of days of heaven

Leaving present

Stained with nostalgia

Tinged with pain

And the soul cries

Driving mind insane

 

But this loneliness

Agonizing sadness

At your absence

Which the heart mourns

Without redemption

And without pretense

Is what the soul seeks

Over shallow pleasures

For shallow happiness

I am pretty sure, many over here can relate to this, since loneliness is one of those things that cultivate creativity...in solitude alone, can we think best...however loneliness is sad, no one welcomes it and yet we all feel it at some point of our lives...great lines!
