crossroadsA Poem by SiddharthaLooking at your eyes is falling in love Inhibited by your hesitancy and my shyness As our serendipitous meetings keep fighting The utter melancholy that pervades their absence
Words written on paper can never articulate The words which die outside of my heart Shapeless, blissful and abstract like the skies Defined only by the presence of your being
Only if I could turn back cruel time That keeps moving on from those moments Fleeting yet lingering in the depths of memories Into the despair of our sequestered lives
If there be kindness in the heavens above And if fate conspires for the joy of our beings We’d outlive the rest of our lives together Gracing every moment of our shared lifetimes © 2012 SiddharthaReviews
