crossroads

crossroads

A Poem by Siddhartha

Looking at your eyes is falling in love

Inhibited by your hesitancy and my shyness

As our serendipitous meetings keep fighting

The utter melancholy that pervades their absence

Words written on paper can never articulate

The words which die outside of my heart

Shapeless, blissful and abstract like the skies

Defined only by the presence of your being

Only if I could turn back cruel time

That keeps moving on from those moments

Fleeting yet lingering in the depths of memories

Into the despair of our sequestered lives

If there be kindness in the heavens above

And if fate conspires for the joy of our beings

We’d outlive the rest of our lives together

Gracing every moment of our shared lifetimes

Dear Siddhartha,

A beautiful piece. Yes, sometimes we feel so incapable of expressing the intangibles of our feelings. And things move so fast we feel opportunities pass before we're ready to respond, before we even know they are there.

Greatly enjoyed this piece, My Friend!

Very best regards,

Rick
