WanderlustA Poem by SiddharthaNeither
society nor the times bind me Neither
does the mortal love of this world Nor
the fear of the nothingness beyond The
horizon beckoning like an inconsolable lover Crying
on the shore as her paramour sails off The
skies beyond in lovely streaks of blood cerise Streaking
down in wild strokes of an artist’s brush Spreading
the eternal expanse of his untamed mind
At
crossroads, fate calls out on different paths Memories
fading out in the mist of twilight Moving
on from the deadweight of the past My
heart moving against the power of its clasp As the
infinitely meandering roads seduce forever Spreading
rivers of wanderlust in my restless mind © 2012 SiddharthaFeatured Review
