Zeitgeist

Zeitgeist

A Poem by Siddhartha

Drops of rain over noisy stones
Streams flowing like silken time
Brooks tracing secret pathways
As the cuckoo sings a song divine

The rainbow lying at the horizon
Leads away onto realms eternal
Untouched forever by grief or pain
Where love makes time immortal

The blue that besets the skies
The Sun a flaming orange ball
The divinity that enthralls us within
The harmony that makes us whole

Ah, such times we live in
Fueled by fear, stark suspicion
Unaware of the joy that surrounds us
As our sorry lives fade into oblivion
