Lost HighwayA Poem by SiddharthaScreeching tires, summer heat Grimy exhaust promising no retreats Twisting turns, heady diversion Kohl laden tears in joyous heartburn
Dirt and mud, splaying exhaust Foregone memories turning to dust Disappearing boulevards, vanishing
past Nothing that’s good ever so lasts
Smirking moon, shining afar Astral design or conniving stars? Blinding rain, summer winds Bait in kind for loveblind minds
Holy flames, eternally claimed Vermilion on your forehead a
talismanic totem
The tires screech, our bodies sway As we drive along... this Lost Highway. © 2012 SiddharthaFeatured Review
