Rains

Rains

A Poem by Siddhartha

Ah, the rain, the pouring rain

The rainbow at the end of the horizon

How they heal away entrenched pain

As we get drenched in the Summer Sun

Ah, the rain, the pouring rain

The dew on the leaf shining ever so bright

How they clear the soul, make it plain

Give heart the courage, to stay on and fight

Ah, the rain, the pouring rain

The Earthy smell that consumes us whole

The flood of water that washes away the pain

The tenderness in the air, which delights the soul

Ah, the rain, the pouring rain

Swaying treetops foretell new beginnings

As the orbs of drops cleanse past stains

And I kiss you again, while the Cuckoo sings

This is quite lovely, and I like the repetition of the first line...it makes one feel the cadence.
I would have t ask why you wrote "How they lead the soul, make it insane"? thsi does not seem to fit. "How it clears the soul and mades it plain"?
