Echoes of a Heartbeat

Echoes of a Heartbeat

A Poem by Sicilysclover

Echoes of a heartbeat

Faded in the near past

Ring in the stillness

Interrupting it's peace.

I long for nights of bliss

Where discoveries were made

And we loved what we found.

Minutes of red-filled hatred

Replace hours of our love

Contemplations of a suicidal ending

The madness, not the life.

Shall I leave? Will you follow?

Perhaps not, this time.

Can a suffocated love live?

Not forever, but until tomorrow

And still, we procrastinate

Not ready for demise.
