Love. Me.

Love. Me.

A Poem by Schira

I just want you to love me.

I scream it over and over in my head.

Why can’t you just love me?

Just. Love. Me.

Just call me baby.

Just call me, baby.

Just call me…

I just want you to love me.

I just want you to tell me you need me.

That you’ve never found another like me.

That you’re not the same without me.

That I give you air.

Breath.

Life.

That in a world full of similarity, correspondence

I give you chaos, variance.

I just want you to love me.

To call me sexy.

To call me beautiful.

To call me at all…

I just want you to love me.

Show me off to the world.

To the ones you relate to.

Friends. Family. Freaks off the street.

I just want you to love me.

Or maybe,

Just maybe.

I just want to be loved…

I just want you to love me.

But I just can’t seem to love you.
