When Rick Northwood stumbles upon a voice in the wind he enters a cave, and suddenly finds himself lost in a Paradox.

"
EXT: HUMMING BIRD CANYON
Rick Northwood has been traveling the wilderness for over 200 days when he hears a voice in the wind.
                    VOICE
                  Over hear
Rick whips his head around, perplexed yet desperate. It sounds like the wind, he pulls out his revolver and look around.
                    VOICE
          Don’t do that, over here.
Rick turns his head and sees a cave, intrigued he strolls towards it. I holster my gun, I climb to the cave. Resting his hand on the entrance.
                    VOICE
          Don’t be afraid, go inside.
                    RICK NORTHWOOD
                   Who are you?
                    VOICE
          You can call me Lou, it’s okay. Go
          inside rest, all your questions
          will be answered.
Rick shakes his head, taking a moment he pulls up his sleeve showing a horrible infection. Wincing in pain he moves forward, unholstering his revolver he steps inside.

INT: HOUSE

Lou is sitting at their computer writing as they hear a sound, someone is in the house. Lou stops typing as they turn their head to their bedroom door. It’s Rick Northwood and he’s got
his revolver on Lou.
                    RICK NORTHWOOD
       What is this, who are you? Where am I?

					

                     LOU

                  I’m Lou?

                    RICK NORTHWOOD
          Lou? I don’t understand you’re the

voi...

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 2.

Rick looks at Lou, then looks at his computer. We get a shot of him writing a script, he sees he’s written up to this moment. Then we get a shot of Lou looking at the bounty
hunter kind of smiling.
                    RICK NORTHWOOD
               Wait is Lou for Lucifer?
                    LOU
                No, it isn’t wait!
Rick shoots him instantly, tossing him aside. Rick sits in his seat, he finishes the script. Then we get a montage of him burying Lou, then Rick sleeping in Lous bed. Rick is brushing
his teeth, then we get a shot of him waking up and writing.
Rick looks at his arm and the infection is gone. It puts a smile on Ricks face. Rick is working on a script, getting really into it when he comes to a word block, we get a
shot of the script of where he is. Then we hear footsteps in
the house. The door opens, and this time it’s himself.
                    RICK NORTHWOOD
          Who are you? Where am I? What is this?

					

                        LOU

                     I’m Lou?

We get a shot of a piece of paper Rick is looking at. It's a note that explains Lou is actually an acronym for Limbic
Lobe Operational Unification.
                    RICK NORTHWOOD
          Wait is Lou for Lucifer?
                    LOU
          Wait! Wait! WAit!
We get a shot of the Rick typing into the script. RICK
NORTHWOOD HAS A SUDDEN STROKE AND DIES. THEN WE SEE THE
COWBOY DIE AS HE PULLS OUT HIS GUN.
 We get a shot of Lou looking at his hat he hung up when he first arrived.

EXT: CAVE

Suddenly we see Rick emerge back from the Cave. Rolling up his sleeve he can see his infection has returned. Wincing
in pain he steps out and hears the sound of someone clapping. Before him is Lou, clapping.

CONTINUED:

                    LOU
          Only took you 273 times.
           I approach cautiously.
                    RICK NORTHWOOD
                   How are you here?
                    LOU
          Helping you process a Psychological
          Response, during an emotional
          tragedy
       I stand in place becoming cautious.
                    RICK NORTHWOOD
          Please I remember now. I remember
          everything. Please, I’m ready, I’m
          well again. Please take me home.
Lou sits on the boulder smiling, and looks back up to Rick
through his thick glasses.
                    LOU
          Keep going, this time
Lou points in one direction
          you’re heading in the right direction.

					
Rick takes one last look at Lou and turns around. Turning his head back one more time Lou is gone from the boulder. Rick strolls on but he hears Lou's voice in his head. 
                    LOU
          Sometimes it’s the journey that
          cures us, not the destination.
We get one last shot of Lou walking off into the wilderness. Cured of his Psychological distress, now he must find his way home.
