Inevitable Beauty

Inevitable Beauty

A Poem by shukisrl
"

Just another poem

"
The fingers on my hands grow numb
I can’t avoid it; my time has come
This inevitable journey toward the light
Oh do I wish it were out of sight

I’ve pulled the levers, turned the knobs
But nothing helps, not even my sobs
The world turns upside down; I can see the end
As if it were a common clothing trend

Knowing my fate I grab my wallet
Looking inside I find my beautiful Scarlet
Her smile warps and twists me, no regrets
My heart is going to burst through the beauty of the sunset

Despite how tragic everything is, I can’t help but laugh
My life has been cut in half
My body lifts from the seat, I hover smiling inside
I see the blue earth; I close my eyes and let out my last sigh

All at once everything is still; time has stopped
I am a suicidal raindrop
I hear something, someone whispering to me
‘Open your eyes, and see the beauty’
