UsefulA Poem by ShujnkiI’ve heard If you are not being used Then you are useless I must confess…my body is now heartless My soul is empty Drained by the best I can give no less Or produce no more For those that feel the need to use and walk out the door Left in the silence of my thoughts Scattered what ifs are brought to focus No one knows this, but I try Not to show this emotional state Of bewildered heartbreak The intake to pulmonary arteries Blood flow to every part of me Halted…once more Used for purposes intended Unannounced That your friendship had an agenda To force feed that spoon full of sugar Helping the reality of life go down smoother Realizing an alternate perspective Of what is received aint always the negative Pose, point, click…the shutter shatters We fall into scarred pieces of laughter Sharing our most intimate encounters Changing thought patterns and behavior You were never “the one” for me…nor I for you Guess I wasn’t the only one being used… Shujnki© 11/8/12 © 2012 Shujnki |
