VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

The Rays of sun shinning above us
Hand in hand we stood with love and trust
In this world of Malice and defeat
When blind love met lusty love
With every look of his her heart skipped a beat
The threads of marriage dangled in the air
She had a part of him as her share
While for him it wasn't a commitment but an affair
He walked away like he didn't care

The dark clouds furrowed above her
The cold winds made her shiver
In this world of malice and defeat
'Sinner sinner' they yelled and stared
In the clutches of victimised love
Was handcuffed this young dove
With turmoil she walked alone
Raising the child on her own
With dawns to conquer and dusks to ponder

The rains from the sky poured
Tears of pain down my cheeks rolled
In this world of Malice and defeat
Mocked and covered with shame
With on lookers calling her names
Wondering about who should She blame
She placed her cards infront of him
Where as for him love was merely a game

She told herself there is always a dawn
And the winds and rain will be long gone
She had her child to rely upon
And to fulfill the dreams of her newborn
To be strong and to alter everything that went wrong
And thus end this heartfelt song.
