Living

Living

A Poem by Connor

Poetry is just music at its bare bones,
so read me some songs that you wrote,
and i promise to stay up all night,
promise to stay up all night.
The seaside, the sunset, our bodies alone,
with the gulls we feel at home,
and i promise to lay here all night,
promise to lay here all night.
The asphalt, the rubber, we'll roam,
through the windshield every star has shone,
and i promise to drive through all night,
promise to drive through all night.
And I love it when your voice takes that tone,
into the sea, we throw our wallets and phones,
and i promise to keep you all night,
promise to keep you all night.
