revelations

A Poem by Connor

running from the void
in an eternity paranoid
running from the bleakness
light shows up in streaks, blessed
the streets begin to crease
weeds rise from sidewalk cracks
and all we need, is to adapt
evolutionary function maintained
the ever growing habit sustained
and its a war, so it was claimed
and with crystalline molecules, we find a way
so listen to what they all have to say
trust the authors, biographers
turning existence into a paragraph
parting cerebral hemispheres, like moses staff
and its a bleak future, so give it a skin graft
it was a bleak past, but but never lasts
and tangibility is in our minds
existence is only ourselves
we crawl through the darkest, the murk
towards the glowing screen so heartless
and posion becomes a means of continuance
lesions are the scars of our dedication
and preachers pray for our resuscitation
this is no more then a discertation
the bleak and mere revelation
diabolic, and lip bitten it tempts
reaching for our needy and empty hollow shells
we give and we recieve cloned reactions
and divide our minds into competing factions
the catalyst is deep within the cerebral depths
between valleys, horizons and crests
muttered beneath our whispery breaths
the secret we search, our escape from death
