Babydoll

Babydoll

A Poem by Connor

Found existence in the hollow me
cerebral orbit that you can't see
shaking fingers point  to nowhere
twisting lines navigate your body
drifting from the floor to your hair
babydoll you're not going anywhere

You play the game I play
I watch, I slither day by day
shaking pupils they focus and stare
and don't you worry I'm here to stay
the flesh might suffer, wear and tear
in it I'm ecstatic, like a kid at the fair

Soon enough you'll forget the sway of trees
Fingertips will become the gentle breeze
I give everything the way i strive for you
glass breaks with simple ease
under the pressure i focus true
babydoll i'll keep you always in view

Hear your name everyplace i go
in the dark time goes so slow
I know I will be judged by my sins
a price worth your steady glow
I'll never forget the cold of your skin
or the way my ruby fingers trace your blue grin
