Simplicity

Simplicity

A Poem by Connor

i found my heart
in the depths of a wineglass
in some rusted chest
in some troubled past
i found a start
in snow white fault lines
creeping up her small face
throwing freckles into space
and i hope i can stomach
the two of us
following a curving candle wick
burning out a fingertip lust
with colonies of moonlight
slow creeping up covers
in the mattress is a valley
in this room, we are happy
