Hear Your Harmony

Hear Your Harmony

A Poem by Connor

Sunlight bending off your hair,
in waves of a flowing ocean.
There was a beautiful blue
backdrop to your soft face.
It was the most wonderful day of my life.
I wished I understood the
cypher, to find your sweet lips,
to break through those unslightly
boundries keeping you from
me. I brushed your hair to hear your harmony.
Oh, how lost I felt with you,
but so empty without you.
And what an enthralling sight,
the stars fell for your smile.
Why can't this ethereal girl take my hands.

And it happened like sunrise,
the dreams of our lips collide.
Burst from reverie to earth,
you caused my rebirth,
and everything  worked, like a meter or rhyme.
My blank verse found a rhythm.
One kiss broke the horrid schism.
Fell like sunset, rose like stars.
You kissed my lonely heart,
and that day drowned in sunlight and froze in time.

Connor, what a talented poet you are. This was poetry
at its best. I could not fault this piece one bit. Bravo!
