A Poem by Connor

Evenings spent alone
beneath silhouetted trees
spent close to home
but still far enough to be
away from inside.
Watching the orange sea
clouds flow like wave and tide
and the sun falls above me.
Maybe I'll hop the fence,
run away from town and city,
from where nothing makes sense
to relax beneath the sunset so lazy.
Because backyard is more a home
then home will ever be,
when evenings aer spent alone
beneath a sunset, so lazy.
